Iowa Law Review Online (“ILR Online”) is the digital companion to the Iowa Law Review. ILR Online typically publishes four types of pieces: (1) direct responses to an article, essay, or note published in our Print Edition; (2) pieces that build upon an article, essay, or note published in our Print Edition; (3) timely or time-sensitive pieces related to current and/or recent legal developments; and (4) pieces addressing an Iowa-specific issue. Most ILR Online pieces fall within the range of 4,000 to 8,000 words, but you are welcome to submit pieces longer or shorter than that. Please note: We will not consider pieces that are 15,000+ words. If you are interested in submitting a piece to the ILR Online, you may do so through our Scholastica page here or by emailing our Senior Online Editor, Samantha Johnson, at ilr-online@uiowa.edu.
